Description
The Old Parsonage is a vicarage, now a private house, dating from the late 18th century, possibly a remodelling of an older structure. The front is finished in stucco, while the rest is painted rubble. It has a scantle slate roof with chimney stacks located over the gable ends and a lateral chimney on the front wall towards the right.
The building has an overall L-shaped plan, featuring three rooms along the front and a service wing at right angles behind the left-hand room. The front range consists of two rooms with a passage between them on the left, and a one-room plan, likely a former cottage, on the right. The east front is two storeys high with a total of four windows. The main house has a nearly symmetrical three-window arrangement with a central doorway on the left, while the cottage on the right has one window and its doorway on the left. The house features a 19th-century nine-panel door within an early 19th-century classical style doorcase. The left-hand window on the first floor is wider than the others. The windows are early 19th-century hornless sashes with glazing bars, except for a horned copy above the doorway and the ground floor opening of the cottage. The interior has not been inspected.
