Description
These are anonymous chest tombs located about 1.5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Constantine. They date from the late 17th century and are made of granite ashlar with a grey limestone (marble) lid. The chest features a moulded cornice, although the plinth is buried. The limestone lid has a chamfered soffit, but its inscription has worn away. Notably, the long north side of the chest has an ogee-shaped bracket at each end with moulded coping, making it quite unusual.
