Description
Nos. 80 and 82 Victoria Street are a pair of attached houses that have been converted into shops. They were built in the early 19th century and are constructed from brick featuring black-ended headers, with ashlar voussoirs, party wall stacks, and pantile roofs. The buildings have a double-depth plan and each consists of two storeys with a two-window range. They are separated by pilasters that rise to a parapet. The central doorway is semicircular-arched, with a segmental-arched fanlight above the entrance to No. 80. This doorway is flanked by 19th-century shop fronts that have reeded jambs and bowed fronts, with cambered heads that feature seven stepped voussoirs above margin bar sashes. Inside, there is a central through-passage leading to the rear yard. At the time of the survey, the buildings were derelict.
