Description

The archway and gates to Temple Church, located on Victoria Street in Bristol, were built in the mid-19th century and are designed in the Gothic Revival style. The structure is made of Portland stone and wrought iron. It features a screen with three pointed archways that are separated by buttresses topped with crenellated turrets. Above the taller middle arch is a small gable that displays a heraldic shield, while the outer arches have stepped gablets inscribed with "THE TEMPLE" and "HOLY CROSS." The gates are two-leaf and adorned with fleur-de-lys finials.
