Description

Nos. 84 and 86 Victoria Street are a pair of attached shops dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and feature a pantile roof. The buildings have a double-depth plan and rise to two storeys, each with a two-window range. A central round-headed doorway with a fanlight and a panelled door is flanked by 19th-century shop fronts that include pilaster strips. The windows have cambered heads and seven stepped voussoirs, with some sashes that have margin bars, topped by a parapet. The interior includes a through passage to the rear. At the time of the survey, the buildings were derelict, with missing windows and much of the roof gone.
