Description
This gas lamp, located approximately 2 metres from the north-east corner of The Exchange in Bristol, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features octagonal bases adorned with overhanging leaves. The lamp has bulbs at both the top and bottom of the shaft, with additional leaves at the top and curved brackets supporting hexagonal glazed lamps that include a cornice and finial. This lamp is part of a pair, with a matching lamp situated at the opposite corner of The Exchange.
