Description

The attached basement area railings to The Exchange in Bristol date from around 1743 and are made of cast iron. They feature spear-headed designs and have stanchions that flank a doorway, which is adorned with lamps topped with brass ball finials. These railings are likely to have been created at the same time as The Exchange itself.
