Description
8 and 10 Jamaica Street are a pair of attached houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with limestone dressings, and the roof is not visible. The houses have a double-depth plan and are designed in the late Georgian style. They rise to three storeys and feature a five-window range. The symmetrical design includes a central window above a carriage arch that leads to the rear, along with a cornice and parapet. The inner doorways are adorned with consoles supporting canopies, rectangular overlights, and six-panel doors. The windows have sloped lintels and 6/6-pane sashes with margin bars. The interior has not been inspected.
