Description

This is a terrace of four houses, now used as a warehouse, dating from the early 19th century. Located on the east side of Cave Street, St Paul, Bristol, the terrace includes attached front area railings. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with brick stacks and a pantile mansard roof. They are built on a double-depth plan and represent the Late Georgian style. Each house has three storeys and an attic, with a three-window range, except for number 16, which has two windows. A cornice and parapet top the facades. The right-hand doorways are pedimented with semicircular arches, featuring five stepped voussoirs. Sash windows are 6/6-pane with plate glass, and dormers have casements. The interior of the buildings has not been inspected. Subsidiary features include cast-iron railings to the front areas.
