Description

The wall at the west end of Ferry Street in Bristol is possibly from the 12th century. It is constructed of pennant rubble with limestone ashlar dressings. The wall features one and a half windows, each with rubble relieving arches above chamfered ashlar jambs, cills, and lintels. This structure is a very rare example of early medieval architecture in Bristol.
