Description

Nos. 17-20 on Trenchard Street in Bristol are a terrace of four houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are rendered with limestone dressings and feature a pantile roof. They have a double-depth plan and are designed in the late Georgian style, each consisting of three storeys, a basement, and an attic, with a one-window range. The terrace has alternate doorways topped with a parapet, and the doorways are semicircular-arched with keys and imposts, fanlights, and six-panel doors, all of which are blocked except for No. 18. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes set in recessed, exposed frames, and there are segmental-arched doorways leading to the basements. The interior has not been inspected. The houses were completely restored around 1980, and most access is from the rear courtyard.
