Description

This is an early 19th-century building, originally part of the Cranemoor estate. It has a stucco facade with wide eaves and a hipped, double-span slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has nine windows in total, including three in the end bay and a round arched window above the off-centre entrance. All windows are sash windows with moulded architraves and glazing bars. The front door has a cornice and pilasters. An eastern recessed corner tower, three storeys high with a single window, is connected to the main building by a bay containing an additional window. A first-floor verandah is present on the south, or garden, facade. The property forms a group with numbers 3 to 7, Cranemoor Avenue, where it serves as a former lodge of local interest.
