Description
The Lodge of Partis College, built between 1825 and 1827 by Samuel and Philip Flood Page, is a Grade I listed building located on Newbridge Hill. This lodge is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a single depth plan in the Greek Revival style.
The exterior consists of two storeys, with the ground storey being larger and projecting to the south. It is supported by paired pilasters that hold up an entablature, which continues around the returns. This design is mirrored on the first floor, where there are six/six-sash windows below and three/six-sash windows above. The garden front is blind but includes paired and single pilasters, with full-size blind window recesses below and smaller ones above. The street front features a partially glazed door and two-sash windows on the ground floor, with one three/six-sash window and one blind recess above.
The interior has not been inspected. The Lodge is connected to Partis College, which is noted for its remarkable Greek Revival architecture.
