Description
No. 8 Abbey Green is a house that has been converted into a shop with accommodation above. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of Bath limestone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a double depth plan and stands three storeys high with a basement, featuring two bays.
On the ground floor, there is a six-panel door on the left with a three-pane rectangular light above it. To the right, there is a paired six-over-six sash window with a stone mullion between. A platband runs above the ground floor. The upper storeys have two six-over-six sash windows set in plain reveals. The building is topped with a crowning cornice and a parapet, and there is a tall extended stone stack on the right, which does not have any pots. The interior has not been inspected.
