Description
3-6 Cheap Street is a three-storey building constructed from limestone ashlar and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The exterior features three windows on each floor. The ground floor includes shop fronts that have undergone varying degrees of alteration but remain within their original frames; Nos. 3 and 6 appear to be the least altered.
On the first floor, there is a sill band and a tripartite window arrangement. The windows consist of four by four pane sashes flanking six by six pane sashes, with the central window featuring an architrave surround and a cornice head. The second floor also has a sill band and a tripartite window, with the central window having a plain architrave. Above the windows, there is a cornice and a balustraded parapet. The building has a mansard roof with flat-topped dormers for Nos. 3 and 4, and one dormer for Nos. 5 and 6. There are no chimney stacks visible on the front of the building, except for one located between Nos. 2 and 3, which has pots. The interiors have not been inspected.
