Description
Brook Cottage is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is built of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof with coped raised verges and restored ashlar stacks. The building has a single storey with attics, characterized by two steep gables on the south side and one on the north.
On the north-east elevation, there are two 2-light casement windows with reserved chamfered mullions and surrounds, both set under a drip mould. A central plank door is also present. To the left, a two-storey, single-bay wing projects from the main structure.
The south-west elevation features three casement windows on the ground floor, which include both 2-light and 3-light designs, some of which are from the 20th century. These windows have chamfered mullions and surrounds. In the attics, there are two additional 2-light casement windows, and to the left, there is a single-storey, single-bay extension.
