Description
This pair of gatepiers and gates, located 50 yards north-west of Midford Castle, were likely built around 1810 as part of the entrance to the drive leading to the castle. The gatepiers are made of square ashlar stone and feature a convex shape on both the front and back, adorned with vermiculated blocks. They have a fluted and coved cornice topped with a fluted domed cap. Between the gatepiers, there are cast iron gates.
