Description

The Garden Cottage is a stable block that has been converted into a house, associated with Whitehaven. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The building features a hipped slate roof that is set behind a parapet, adorned with pineapple finials, and has a cornice. The architectural style is Tudor Gothic. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of five bays. Modern casement windows are present, set beneath drip moulds. There is a blocked four-centred arch, a vehicle entry on the right, and two modern doors also located under drip moulds. The building is included for its group value.
