Description

Canteen House is a late 17th and early 18th century house located on the south-east side of High Street, Wellop. The house is constructed of rubble and has a double Roman tiled roof with coped raised verges. It is two storeys high with attics, and has five bays. The ground floor windows are 2-light casements with edge-roll moulded mullions and surrounds, and are set under a continuous string course. The first-floor windows are similarly styled, but have a cornice above. A lean-to has been built to the left, obscuring two blocked windows. A further lean-to covers a modern central door, which itself has an edge-roll moulded surround.
