Description

Battens is an L-shaped medieval timber-framed building located in West Hoathly. The north wing dates from the late 13th century or early 14th century, while the west wing is from the 15th century. The building has two storeys and features three windows. The ground floor is faced with red brick, and the upper floor is tile-hung. It has a tiled roof, and the casement windows on the first floor are designed as hipped dormers.
