Description

Chatesgrove is an early 17th century timber-framed house, restored and shaped like an "L." The walls are filled with plaster. It has a roof covered with Horsham slabs. The north and south front gables project outwards, supported by a beam (bressummer) and decorated with bargeboards and a pendant; the north gable is dated 1622. A stone chimney breast is situated in the angle of the "L." The windows are casement type. The house has two storeys and three windows. A modern addition is present to the west. Inside, there are stone fireplaces with oak lintels.
