Description
No. 125, Hurstierpoint, known as Curds, is an L-shaped building incorporating elements from the 17th century, or earlier, and the 18th century. The western wing appears to be of 17th or earlier date and was originally timber-framed. It is now faced with stucco on the ground floor, with fishscale tiles above. The first floor retains an overhanging design. The south wing is of 18th century construction, built of red brick. This wing rises two storeys with an attic in the gable end. It has two windows facing south and three windows facing east. A doorway is situated in the angle of the ‘L’, and is topped with a flat hood. The roof is tiled, covering both wings.
