Description
Walstead House is a T-shaped timber-framed house from the 17th century or earlier. It has two storeys and four bays, featuring gabled ends on the wings. The house is topped with a tiled roof that includes a pentice on the south side of the south wing. The timber framing is exposed, and the north front has painted brick infilling, while the rest of the building is refaced with tile-hanging. The windows throughout the house are casements. The interior was not inspected. Walstead House is recognized for its architectural interest as a good example of a 17th-century or earlier timber-framed house.
