Description

The Church of St Leonard is located on Worth Church Road in Turners Hill. It features a chancel, nave with aisles, north and south porches, and a west tower. The chancel and nave were constructed between 1895 and 1897, designed by architect Lacy Ridge. The porches and tower were added later in 1923 by Sir Aston Webb. The building is made of Ardingly sandstone and showcases 14th-century Gothic architectural elements. Notably, the reredos is believed to have originated from Wren's St. Mildred's, Poultry, which was demolished in 1872.
