Description
Stretham Manor is a 15th century or earlier timber-framed building located in Small Dole, Henfield. It was once the principal manor and court-house of Henfield until the court-house moved to New Hall in the 16th century. What remains today is only a portion of a much larger structure that had fallen into ruins by the 16th century. The timbering and close-studding are exposed at the back, while the east front has been refaced in the 18th century with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hanging above. The building features a hipped roof covered with Horsham slabs, which has been partly refaced with tiles. It has two storeys and four casement windows.
