Description

Chatfields is a 17th-century or earlier L-shaped building located on Brighton Road in Henfield. Originally known as Garden Cottages, it is timber-framed with plaster and red brick infilling, and has a tiled roof. The windows are casement types. A single bay was added in red brick to the north end of the north wing, featuring a scalloped gable. A gabled porch is situated in the angle of the L-shape.
