Description
Hope Cottage and Beam Ends is an L-shaped building located on the north side of High Street in Upper Beeding. The east wing, known as Beam Ends, dates from the 17th century or earlier and is constructed of timber framing. The south wing, Hope Cottage, is an 18th-century addition. The building has two storeys and features three windows. It is faced with flints, accented by red brick dressings and quoins. The original roof was covered with Horsham slabs, but it has mostly been replaced with tiles. The windows have been updated to modern casement styles.
