Description

Spinners and F H Lucas and Son Grocer is an L-shaped building that dates from the 17th century or earlier and has undergone significant alterations. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring four windows and one dormer. The east end of the front is faced with flints, which are now painted. The center of the building has exposed timber framing with painted brick infilling. The north wing is stuccoed and has a slate roof, while the rest of the building has a tiled roof. There are two casement windows, and the remaining windows are sash windows, although the glazing bars are missing. The north wing, which houses Lucas, has a modern shop front.
