Description
The garden gate, overthrow, and side railings located to the west of Stumbleholme Farmhouse date from the 18th century. This ornamental wrought iron gate, along with its matching side-pieces and overthrow, was brought to this site in the 1930s from Normand House on Lilly Road in Fulham. At its original location, it provided entrance to a former plague-pit used for burials during the great plague of 1665. The gate is set in modern red brick piers topped with stone ball caps.
