Church Gate Cottage is a 16th century timber-framed building. The timber framing is exposed, with painted brick infilling at the north end of the front, although the majority of the building has been refaced with painted brick. It features a thatched roof and casement windows, along with a gabled porch. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows.
