Description

Butterfly Cottage is an early 19th-century hexagonal building located on the east side of Funtington Salt Hill Road, East Ashling. It is a single-story structure with two windows facing north, south, and west. The exterior is stuccoed and features an eaves cornice, surmounted by a polygonal slate roof. The windows are pointed casements with diamond-shaped lights and dripstones. Pointed recesses with dripstones are present on the two short sides of the building. The pointed doorway is topped with a dripstone and contains a door of seven moulded and studded panels.
