Description
Sennicotts is a building constructed for Charles Baker around 1810. The original part of the structure is square and features three windows on the south-east, south-west, and north-west sides. It has two storeys and is finished in stucco, with a string course and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is slate, and the glazing bars remain intact. The entrance front, facing south-east, includes a slightly projecting central window bay topped with a pediment. There is a porch supported by four Doric columns and a triglyph frieze. A later addition in painted brick is located to the north-east. In the early 20th century, Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten and his wife, Princess Victoria of Hesse, who was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria, resided here for several years.
