Description

The Parish Church of St Andrew is a Grade I listed building located on Church Lane in Tangmere. The church features a chancel and a nave, which has a western bell turret supported by heavy timbers inside and topped with a broached shingled spire. The nave dates back to the 17th century, while the chancel is from the 13th century. The exterior is faced with roughcast, giving it a simple yet attractive medieval appearance, with minimal restoration. Inside, there is a 13th-century chancel arch adorned with scalloped imposts and a plain tub font.
