Description
The Royal Oak Public House is an irregular brick building, likely dating from the 17th century, with later extensions. It has two storeys beneath a steep hipped roof covered with old tiles. The left section of the street frontage features two casement windows with a door situated between the lower windows, all topped with cambered heads. There is a central ridge chimney. The right section includes one window, which is blind above, and a doorway. On the east side, there is a camber-headed window above with an old metal-framed casement, and below are two windows, one of which is a right-hand sash with glazing bars, flanking the doorway. At the rear, a wall made of brick, random rubble, and cobble encircles the yard and outbuildings.
