Description

The Parish Church of St Mary is a Grade I listed building located on Station Road in East Preston. This simple medieval church features a chancel, a nave with a south aisle, a north porch, and a west tower. The church was restored by Sir Gilbert Scott in 1869. The north doorway dates back to the 12th century, while the nave and chancel are from the 13th century. The tower is built in the Perpendicular style, although the original spire was demolished in 1951. The south aisle was added by Scott during the restoration in 1869.
