Description

Manor Farmhouse, dating primarily from the 18th century, is a two-story building constructed in two distinct phases. The west half of the front facade dates to 1677, and the east half to 1751, as indicated by inscribed stones. The exterior is faced with knapped flints, accented with dressings and quoins of red brick and grey headers. A stuccoed stringcourse runs horizontally, and the eaves feature a modillion cornice. The roof is tiled with a half-hip design, and the original glazing bars remain intact. The west half incorporates a doorway framed by Doric pilasters, surmounted by a pediment and a semi-circular fanlight, with a six-panel fielded door. An inscribed stone on the west side bears the date 1677 and the initials S. J. M. T., while the stone on the east side displays the date 1751 and the initials J. S.
