Description
The Church Hall, located to the north-east of the Church of St James, is a Grade II listed building dating from the late 19th century, with a date of 1878 noted on the rainwater heads. This single-storey structure is built of flint and features a projecting plinth with a moulded brick capping, brick quoins, a stringcourse, moulded brick eaves, and a tiled gabled roof.
The south-east elevation has four windows and a door, while the north-easternmost end has a recessed window and door with a separate roof. The windows are stone transomed and mullioned, consisting of four lights arranged in two tiers, with the right-hand end featuring wooden windows, each light topped with a flat trefoil head. The western gable end boasts a six-light stone window, with each light also having a trefoil head, and below it is a doorway that has a similarly shaped head and a brick drip moulding. This drip moulding continues around the building as a stringcourse.
