Description
The Raswell is a house built around 1860, constructed from colourwashed sandstone rubble with colourwashed brick on the gable end walls, set on smooth, rendered plinths. It features plain tiled roofs and stands two storeys high, with stacks positioned to the left and right of the center. The front three gables have scalloped bargeboards topped with spike finials. Each gable includes one blocked lancet window and one arched casement window with intersecting tracery bars on the first floor. There is a pair of arched casement doors in chamfered brick surrounds on the left and center gables, and the right gable has triple arched, plain glazed doors with flanking lights. The house has extensions that are at right angles and parallel to the rear, along with a double gable on the right-hand return front.
