Description
Cherry Gardens is a cottage built in the late 17th century. It features red and blue brickwork below in Flemish bond, with timber framing above that is clad in tiles. The roof is plain tiled, with a square ridge stack positioned to the right of the center and an offset end stack to the right. The cottage has two storeys and includes a brick dentil band over the ground floor. The windows are regularly arranged, with two glazing bar casements on each floor. There is a boarded door to the right of center, set in a moulded surround. At the rear, there is a catslide extension to the main roof. Inside, some of the timber framing in the ceilings is visible towards the rear, and there is a renewed deep brick fireplace that includes a blacked bread oven.
