Description
The Red House is an 18th-century building that has been converted from a house into offices. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped clay tile roof. The front elevation is two storeys high and includes a central door that is framed by a simple porch supported by elongated Doric columns and pilasters, topped with a flat cornice. The door itself is a six-panelled design. There are four 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, each with wooden shutters and red brick rubbed arches above them. On the first floor, there are five 12-pane sash windows with arched heads and blind boxes. A dentil brick course runs beneath the eaves. The railings, added in 1970, are not of special interest. There is also a later extension at the rear of the building.
