Description
Abbey Farm Barn, located end on to Colonel's Lane in Chertsey, is a medieval tithe barn that has been altered over time. The barn features stone and brick walls and is a long structure. Its roof has been modified, now covered with sheeting and lowered from its original apex, with upper members removed. Despite these changes, massive tie-beams remain in place. The ends of the barn are two stories high, with upper floors or lofts supported by these substantial beams. The building is likely connected in some way with Chertsey Abbey.
