Description
The garden walls to Temple Elfande are from the 17th century and 20th century, constructed of red brick in English garden bond. They stand 4 and a half feet high, with some sections color-washed, and rise to 7 feet high at the lower end. The walls have a rectangular plan with openings for gates at both the front and rear of the house. Some sections feature stretchers with niches and diagonal brick dentils at the top. The walls extend for 70 meters to the east of the house, 50 meters to the north, and return along the south for 20 meters, including a spur wall to the north and an isolated stretch to the southwest with an angle bastion. These walls are included for their group value.
