Description

Clarendon House dates from the 18th century, although it incorporates a core from the 17th century, possibly originally timber-framed. The front of the building was later re-faced with cement. It is two storeys high with an attic. The house has five windows across the front, with a gable centrally positioned, containing an attic window. A string course runs along the facade. The windows are sash windows, but their original glazing bars are missing. The ground floor windows are set within moulded architrave surrounds. The doorway features pilasters, a pediment, and a door made of six moulded and fielded panels. A brick chimney breast is visible at the east end of the building. A photograph of the property is held within the National Monuments Record.
