Description

Milton Pound, located on Westcott Road in Dorking, is an animal pound likely dating from the early 19th century. The east side of the structure has been restored or re-pointed in the 20th century.

Constructed from local stone in random rubble, the pound features ironstone galleting and has red brick quoins and coping. It is square in shape, with a central entrance on the east side. The walls stand approximately five feet high, with each side measuring about 12 feet in length, topped with a curved brick coping.
