Description
This small stable, located approximately 10 metres north-west of the barn at Roaring House Farm, is now used as an engine house. It likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and has been renovated and altered over time. The structure features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weather-board cladding and a red tile roof. It has a rectangular single-cell plan and is a single storey high. There is a stable door on the right side and a window in the right-hand gable wall. The left gable wall, which is now beneath an attached open-fronted shelter, displays arch-bracing from the corner posts to the tie-beam, along with vertical plank walling fixed on the inside of the frame.
