Description
Grange Cottages is a former inn that has been converted into cottages. It dates back to the 16th century and underwent conversion in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed, with sandstone and ironstone infilling on the left side, and a rendered gable. The structure is underbuilt in brick and sandstone, with a brick extension at the right end. The roof is plain tiled, half-hipped, and has a gablet on the right. There is a gabled cross wing on the left side. The building has two storeys, with four casement windows on the first floor and three windows on the ground floor. There is a rebuilt stack on the left and an end stack on the right. The ground floor has two planked doors, located to the left and right of the centre, with one door being part glazed. The right-hand return front also has the frame exposed.
