Description

Wharf Cottage at Dapdune Wharf is a cottage that has been converted into part workshop. It dates from the 18th century, with 19th-century extensions. The building has a timber-framed core, featuring red and brown brick on the front and rendered on one end. It has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped, with a gablet on the right side. The cottage is one storey and has an attic, which is illuminated by three 20th-century hip-roofed, tile-hung casement dormers. The windows are arranged irregularly, with three casement windows on the right, one of which is set under a gauged brick head, and a tripartite sash window also on the right. To the left of the centre, there are half-glazed double doors. At the rear, there is a pentice extension with a catslide roof, and a hip-roofed porch is located over the door on the right-hand return front. Additionally, there are two dormers on the rear.
