Description

The Chapel at Cotshill Hospital is a building constructed between 1856 and 1857 by architect G E Street. It is made of coursed rubblestone with stone dressings and features a gabled slate roof with stone copings. The chapel consists of a nave and chancel combined into one space, designed in a minimal lancet style that includes long trefoil-headed windows. A notable design feature is the presence of large projecting buttresses at the eastern end, which serve an ornamental purpose rather than a structural one. This chapel is included in the register for its group value.
