Description

Castle's Almshouses are a pair of almshouses founded in 1729, which were extended and modernised in the late 20th century. They are constructed of rubble with an imitation Cotswold stone roof and feature three brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, with 20th-century two-light casements on the first floor and three-light casements on the ground floor. There are two outer ledged doors and a central lean-to porch added in the 20th century. These almshouses are included in the listing for their historical interest.
