Description
This listing describes garden features located approximately 80 meters southeast of the National Westminster Bank Staff College in Heythrop Park. The balustrading, steps, and ha-ha wall were likely constructed around 1705 and 1871 and are made of limestone ashlar. The balustrading and steps flank the lawn at the rear of the Main House, extending from the terrace walls and connecting to a battered ha-ha wall that features three rectangular bastions, which may date from the 18th century. These features are included for their group value, as Heythrop Park is recognized at Grade II* in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens.
